There are many faces to chronic depression. If we vent, people say we are dramatic, entitled, selfish, annoying. If we keep to ourselves, we feel unheard, alone, anxious, and scared. If we seek therapy... the act is stigmatized in certain cultures. If we smile and put on a face, people think we are doing good when we are holding by a thread. There is no winning with depression. We don't always know a depressed person just by looking.
